Back to school.
Let's get more familiar with the details of your final exam.
For your final project you all have to make links to a platform. You may use one of the following:
And you'll certainly have to set up a personal email account devoted to your work in this class.
Sequence one. Connections and information. Have the media changed?
Final task: create an infographic such as this one and be able to comment on it.
Intermediate tasks: based on a celebrity's tweets, come up with a timeline of his deeds, throughout a day, or a week.
The 2012 most influential Tweeters:
4=. Jamie Oliver, Chef
Britain's best-known foodie figurehead (and best-selling non-fiction author) is a prolific, no-nonsense purveyor of foodie tips and links and celebrity chit-chat. The size of his following is presumably explained by his likeability rather than his penetrating insights. Yet he is arguably at his most engaging when he tweets in anger: at rioters who smashed up his restaurant in Birmingham ("idiots"), for example, or, deliciously, at a follower who criticised his spelling ("Get lost you idiot im dislexic and i cant spell so stick that in your pipe! its better than being smug.")
With more than 7 million Twitter.com followers --Lady Gaga's reach definitely lands her among the most influential celebrity tweeters. The pop megastar tweeted on November 6, "HOLY HOOKER 7million little monsters! Thank u for all the amazing messages about BORN THIS WAY. They inspire me and keep me strong." In September, she tweeted a link to a YouTube video against "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" that was viewed by more than 2 million people.
Britney Spears ranks way up there, with more than 6 million followers on Twitter. On May 24, she tweeted, "WOW!!!!! #1 on Twitter! Thank you! Tweet me some questions this morning! xoxo -Brit." She later tweeted why she joined Twitter, saying, "my management told me it would be great way to connect with my fans and they were right it is!"
The teen sensation has more than 6 million followers. Earlier this year, he was able to raise ,225 for the celebrity TwitChange auction by allowing fans to bid on his tweets.
President Barack Obama
President Barack Obama is inching toward having 6 million followers on Twitter, tweeting on the day before the mid-term elections: "I'm asking you to come together once more to cast your vote for Democrats tomorrow."Oprah Winfrey
Talk show icon Oprah Winfrey has been an influential force in daytime TV and pop culture for decades, and she boasts an impressive Twitter following -- 4.5 million
Katy Perry's music has topped the charts in 2010 -- and the singer's reach on Twitter has followed suit! She has more than 4.5 million followers, and counting!
While she may not be at the top of Twitter's list of most followers, Eva Longoria Parker worked closely with the TwitChange campaign and managed to leverage her account to raise ,240 for the auction to benefit Haiti, according toForbes.
With nearly 3.2 million followers, @MrsKutcher is an active user of Twitter, helping raise more than ,000 through her account for the TwitChange campaign to benefit Haiti earlier in 2010.
With more than one-and-a-half million followers,Rev Run may not have the most celeb followers -- but the rap-star-turned-reverend has sent out more than 7,000 inspirational tweets that are often re-tweeted by celebs. Before joining Twitter, his followers signed up on an email list to get his daily "Words of Wisdom.
